Need Immigration Legal Assistance?

ICARE serves as a centralized hub for requesting free legal services from our five member organizations: Catholic Charities Community Services, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), Legal Aid Society, Safe Passage Project and The Door.

Each organization brings vast experience and expertise to support Unaccompanied Children in navigating their immigration legal cases in NYC.

ICARE eligibility criteria:

  • You entered the United States under the age of 18 without a parent or guardian

  • You currently reside in New York City (Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island)

    AND

  • You are in immigration court proceedings (or were previously in an ORR shelter)

If you meet ICARE’s eligibility criteria and need legal services, please fill out the referral form:

You don't need to contact each organization separately, as we have streamlined the process for you to request legal services conveniently from one centralized location.
